CANTINE SCOLARI AND VALTENESI
Valtenesi is a charming territory composed by concentric hills sprawled in a half-circle and natural balconies offering their view along the central Moraenic hills of the west side of Lake Garda. During the last severe Ice Age (Wuermian) this area was formed by deposits brought by glaciers and rivers, building the internal and external Moraenic hills; the youngest hill-chain built by fresh mud and pebbles with no surface erosion is therefore called "Wuerm",
Archeological findings have confirmed the presence of man since the Bronze age, on the west coast . Also one of the two lake names has a long past: Benaco derives from the Etruscan "Beni-Aco" meaning Aco' sons, Prince of Etruria.
This territory is the natural ideal place for the vineyard, thanks to the mild climate, the fertile soil and the favourable position of the fields. Our small Company is located in the middle of Valtenesi, at Raffa di Puegnago
del Garda: we look forward to your visit and wish to let you taste our wines.

THE LAND, THE VINEYARD, THE WINE.
For three generations we have been listening to the voice of nature and found the way to express its messages. However without the help of thoughtful people passionately fond of the land and able to perceive that the land provides all material and spiritual well-being, this wouldn't have been achieved. At present we still seek the messages of nature and exalt the dignity and the character of our land: this is how our wines take shape.
